Collision

Collision is the sonic telling of a story about two lovers with the gravitational force of a Black Hole, slowly orbiting each other over time, getting closer and closer until one day they collide. Through the artistic sonification of data sourced from current Black Hole research, the piece explores the profound question of what happens when two Black Holes collide, using this cosmic phenomenon as a metaphor for human connection and intimacy. Originally commissioned by the Playground Ensemble, Collision has been showcased as a featured composition in The Space Program, a 360-degree multimedia concert experience designed for domes.
